What is Bee2Bee Honey Collective?
Founded in 2015, Bee2Bee Honey Collective is Houston's only commercial and backyard beekeeping service and online local honey marketplace. Founded by Nicole Buergers, a burnout B2B internet marketer, who decided to leave her corporate marketing agency and do something completely different. She both wanted to encourage "newbee" beekeepers as well as provide online retail services for the established hobbyist beekeeper.
Our mission is to provide a healthy, sustainable habitat for pollinators and promote urban beekeeping and honeybee education.
What is a Beekeeping Service
A beekeeping service is where a beekeeper installs and maintains the beehives on your property, whether that is residential, commercial or farm property. Similar to a landscaper or swimming pool service, the beekeeper visits the beehives regularly and inspects and treats the hive accordingly. Our beekeeping service also provides a beehive data report with specific statistics on how the hive is doing. Most large cities have one or more companies providing this service; Houston currently does not.
What is a Honey Collective?
Beekeepers often do not have the time or interest in selling their collected honey to the public, mostly giving away honey to friends, family and neighbors. However, there is a growing demand for hyperlocal honey in Houston. The honey collective is an opportunity for beekeepers to sell their honey to a larger audience. Those who are part of the beekeeping service will also have an opportunity to sell their honey online.
We believe to ensure your honey source and quality, you should "know your beekeeper." You will know the Houston neighborhood where your honey is from and know it is gently filtered and unpasteurized, leaving beneficial bee pollen in your honey.
Much thanks to Trent Veazy of TVZ Design for all the photography on the website (minus the picture on this page).
